Professional Installation Guide
1. Prep the Surface
Clean & Measure: Wipe your countertop thoroughly to remove dust, oil, and debris. The surface must be completely dry and smooth for the adhesive to bond. Determine the dimensions of your surface.
2. Cut to Fit
Measure & Cut: Use a measuring tape to mark your dimensions on the back of the contact paper. Always cut 1 inch larger than your actual surface area to allow for overlap and precision trimming.
3. Apply with Precision
Peel and Stick & Smooth: Start at one edge. Peel back about 2–3 inches of the backing paper. Apply the exposed adhesive to the surface. Use a soft cloth or smoothing tool to press firmly from the center outward, eliminating air bubbles as you go.
4. The Professional Finish
Trim: Use a sharp utility knife to trim the excess paper along the edges.
Heat (Pro-Tip): For edges and corners, use a hair dryer on low heat to make the vinyl pliable. This helps it wrap seamlessly around curves.
Troubleshooting Tips: Air Bubbles: If a bubble appears, lift the paper slightly and re-smooth, or pierce it gently with a pin to release the air.
