Step-by-Step Installation Guide

1. Create a "Plumb Line"

Walls are rarely perfectly straight. Measure the width of your wallpaper (e.g., 17.7 inches) and mark that distance from the corner of your wall. Use a level to draw a straight vertical line. This ensures your first panel—and every panel after it—is perfectly straight.

2. Peel and Align

Peel back about 6–12 inches of the backing paper from the top of the first roll. Align the edge of the wallpaper with your plumb line at the top of the ceiling, leaving an extra 1–2 inches of overhang at the top to trim later.

3. Smooth as You Go

Using a wallpaper squeegee or a soft plastic straight edge, smooth the paper from the center outward to the edges. Slowly pull the backing paper down as you move toward the floor, smoothing out air bubbles as you go.

4. The Pattern Match

When starting the second panel, find where the pattern matches the first panel. Overlap the seams slightly (about 1/16th of an inch) if the instructions suggest, as vinyl can sometimes settle or slightly contract.

5. Trim the Excess

Once the wall is covered, use a sharp utility knife and a straight edge to trim the excess wallpaper at the ceiling and the baseboards.
